This chapter describes how the repertoire of images derived from morphogenetic shaping processes is widely studied in every scientific and humanistic field. These are from the pioneering experiences of cinematic, programmed and generative arts of the 1960s and 1970s, the utopian digital space spells in the ‘90s, the morphogenetic architectural projects in the early 2000s, to the latest experiences. It is possible to look at these currents with a critical look detached from the time distance that has developed. Dynamic Perception of Plastic Movements: Biomechanics and Digital Artifacts

The article offers some reflections on the body-space relationship through images, graphic translations and visual studies that converge into a contemporary digital illuminated avant-garde of the fourth virtual dimension. Starting from the study of the Soviet coreutics of the 1920s and the biomechanics of multimedia performances, it moves on the cinesthetic suggestions and to the dance theorization integrated with the musical score. Finally, some contemporary forms of digital image production are taken into account by addressing a number of issues regarding the exploration of the object-image and its experiential re-elaboration through the production of new graphic knowledge.

In his "Recherches et observations naturelles" (Amsterdam 1674) the botanist Paolo Boccone (1633- 1704) presents himself as an advocate of a new visual method. He was supported by Jan Swammerdam, with whom he shared his scientific observations. Boccone claims to be the first to apply microscopic dissection to figured stones, in order to distinguish accidental shapes from natural ones. Photo Use While Dating: From Forecasted Photos In Tinder To Creating Copresence Using Other Media

While studying Finnish users of the online dating app Tinder searching for long- term partnerships, we paid attention to the importance of photos in their social interactions. Based on our study, we argue that photos play an important role in online dating. Initially, photos are chosen and uploaded to influence future interactions, particularly regarding who will contact them via their profile. We term this particular future tense of photography forecasted photos. L'articolo propone alcune riflessioni sul concetto di "attraversamento dell'architettura" tramite l'implicazione delle arti visuali e del teatro danza. In particolare, è stata approfondito tale concetto realizzando un "attraversamento" della concatenazione spaziale di Palazzo Riso, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Palermo, filtrando lo spazio con la scansione temporale della danza. Michele Cometa’s book analyzes the fifteenth-century fresco Il Trionfo della Morte (The Triumph of Death), conceived for the courtyard of the Ospedale Grande e Nuovo of Palazzo Sclafani in Palermo and currently housed in the Regional Gallery of Palazzo Abatellis, in the same city. The approach is inspired by Visual Culture studies: there are historical reconstructions and references to previous critical analyses of the pictorial work, but the fresco is interpreted in a new way, considering its narrative structure, thematic clusters as well as the allegories, the medieval topoi and the different cultural influences present in Sicily at the time.
